About Me

I have over 15 years’ experience helping many different kinds of writers make their words shine. Whether you are publishing for the web, for a mail shot, are finishing your academic thesis or preparing a manuscript for a publisher, I will always do my best to match your requirements. I am English myself and use British English. I do not outsource.

Background

I have a Bachelor of Science degree (with honours) from Leeds University and a postgraduate degree from Goldsmiths, University of London. Among others, I have worked for the research scientist Andrew Farnham (discoverer of pyrethroid), the author Sir Ronald McIntosh and the designer Kelly Hoppen. Recent clients include the Department of English and Creative Writing at Brunel University, one of the top ten English departments in the UK. 

Over my career, I have helped hundreds of students to gain maximum impact from their work. Many of these students have English as an additional language. I also have experience of working with dyslexia. 

Interests

I am an avid reader and enjoy reading anything from literature to non-fiction to academic works. In my spare time I enjoy art, cooking, gardening and spending time with my family.
